Priority issues & challenges

1. Road Infrastructure Challenges

Kashmore's road network is vulnerable to riverine flooding, heavy commercial traffic on the N-55 (Indus Highway), and inadequate maintenance. From 480km road network, a large portion of the road network in Kashmore is in poor condition.

2. The Dirty Drinking Water Crisis

About 56.9% of Sindh's urban households rely on tap water, while the rest depend on pumps or private tankers. Only 36% of the national population has access to safe drinking water.

3. Malnutrition

Childhood hunger and malnutrition are widespread. This means many children do not get the right foods to grow strong and healthy. It makes them more likely to get sick.

4. Economic and Employment issues

Despite holding significant natural resources, Kashmore faces severe economic stagnation, unemployment, and trade disruption due to rampant insecurity, specifically from dacoits, and a lack of functional commercial infrastructure.
